MANILA, Philippines — Around 50 families were left homeless and one person died after a fire broke out yesterday in Barangay 118mafabet, Caloocan City.

The four-hour fire destroyed P200,000 worth of property, according to arson probers.

Raymond Neri, 39, died after getting trapped as he reportedly entered the burning house to retrieve his money, the Bureau of Fire Protection said.

Scene of the crime operatives recovered Neri’s remains.

According to the PCSOmafabet, 78 bettors also won P24,000 each for guessing five of the six-digit winning combination and 2,667 others won P800 each for guessing four winning digits.
